The AR (Anti-Reflective) coating and AR with blue light blocking can benefit you while wearing Transition lenses.
- AR Coating: Transitions lenses darken in response to sunlight and become clear indoors. However, they can still reflect some light, causing glare, particularly under artificial lighting or while using digital devices. An AR coating helps minimize this glare, reduce eye strain, and provide clearer vision, especially in low-light conditions or during nighttime.
- AR with Blue Light Blocking: Blue light blocking can be beneficial if you spend considerable time using digital devices like computers, tablets, or smartphones. These devices emit a certain amount of blue light, which can cause eye strain and disrupt sleep cycles. Although Transitions lenses inherently block a certain percentage of harmful blue light, an additional blue light blocking coating can offer increased protection, especially when the lenses are clear (indoors or in low light) and using digital screens.
